Reinforced Concrete Tomography.

Máximum precision. Minimum intervention.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

Reinforced Concrete Tomography is a type of Non Destructive Testing (NDT)

We combine radiographic images with mathematical algorithms in order to determine the inner configuration of the element being studied.

We use Gamma rays to obtain the images, which, unlike X-rays, are more penetrating and do not require a power supply, thus, allowing us to work freely in any location.

Moreover, due to its non-invasive nature, this technology can be used interfering minimally and in a coordinated manner with the normal development of the ongoing activities of the sector to be intervened.

Those images are then digitally analyzed by our exclusive software. Using triangulation techniques similar to those of geolocation and predictive simulation, we can locate objects, determine their size, state of conservation, materiality, inconsistencies, heterogeneities, discontinuities, etc.

Finally, our team of professionals analyzes and relates all the information to prepare a complete technical report of the object under study.

The result has unprecedented reliability and precision, and the application of this technique allows the study of structures and elements previously considered inaccessible.

HOW WE DO IT?

PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS

The first step is to know our client´s needs. At all times we offer advise and guidance on how RCT can help in their work. Options are then jointly analyzed to define the project guidelines.

Technical Project

Each case is particular and requires a specific solution. Either by the characteristics of the object under study, or by its surroundings and location. Our technical team analyzes how to carry out the work in the most efficient and safe way. In some cases, it is required to design and manufacture special accessories.

Field job

A visit to the site is scheduled to coordinate the work with the rest of the activities that are being carried out. RCT does not generate noise or waste. Nor does it leave traces of radioactivity. We use certified equipment and our operators are licenced under Local Regulations.

Gammagraphic imaging

Once the equipment is positioned, the gammagraphy process begins to obtain the images. We use different processes according to what we need to "see". This stage is of particular importance since from the quality of the images and the complementary data obtained, we can achieve better results.

Gammagraphic images printing

The images obtained are digitized to be analyzed with our exclusive software. The object´s interior can be seen but without further details.

Digital processing

The images are translated into numerical data that is processed by our software. The technical team defines parameters based on what needs to be analyzed. Different types of results are obtained: graphs, numbers and images. In this instance, the references printed on the images are essential.

Detailed analysis

Finally, our engineers and specialists analyze and relate all the information to ensure it´s unity and completely understand the object.

Technical report

The final result of our service is a detailed Technical Report. This information is then used by professionals to approach their work with complete certainty and security.
